White Stone Ceremony
January 14 @ 10:00 am - 11:15 am
An event every day that begins at 10:00am, repeating indefinitely
Note: This ceremony takes place during our regularly scheduled Sunday service.
This is an ancient ritual where you will receive a new name during meditation and write it on your white stone. It will have deep meaning for you and provide guidance for the New Year. The stones we use in this service come from the Holy Land.
In the days of old, when people had overcome difficulties and made their connection with the Divine, they got a new name. No one else intervened; most of the time, no one else was aware of the new name. Abram, as he grew in spiritual awareness became Abraham; Sarai became Sarah.
A change in name signifies a change in consciousness. In biblical times a name was a very sacred thing. Every name in the Bible actually means a quality that was in the person who carried the name. Parents chose a name for their child for whatever essence they saw in the child. In our White Stone Ceremony, each person will be given a white stone from the Holy Land. After a time of contemplation, we will be led in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal our new name, which we will write on the stone.
With our stone and new name we free ourselves to live more fully on a path to greater insights and awareness to who we truly are.
